The Leduc Center for Civic Engagement is the cornerstone for civic engagement at UMass Dartmouth. Our mission is to enrich the lives of our faculty, students, staff, and community through engaged learning, active citizenship, meaningful community service, scholarship, and mutually-beneficial partnerships.

Your support of the Leduc Center for Civic Engagement helps students broaden their college experience while directly impacting the community through important initiatives like America Reads, which has delivered 573,500 hours of reading and math tutoring and helped more than 21,000 SouthCoast students since it began 23 years ago; community service initiatives like 9/11 Day of Service and MLK Day of Service activities; paid internship experiences with local non-profit agencies; and faculty Service-learning Fellows program which trains faculty to connect classroom learning objectives to real-life community projects

During this unprecedented time, our students are struggling financially, and the needs of our community are great.
