The Kaput Center is an interdisciplinary research space dedicated to addressing fundamental problems in STEM education through various activities and initiatives. These include conferences, interdisciplinary colloquium series, basic research and development, commissioned reports, educational outreach, and think-tank meetings. The Center's outreach efforts aim to democratize access to STEM ideas for the entire community, with a particular highlight being STEM4Girls Day, an event offering hands-on activities to introduce local girls in grades 3-8 to STEM concepts and careers. Additionally, the Center sponsors a colloquium series featuring leading researchers in STEM Education, who share their research findings with the UMass Dartmouth community. As the world adapts to the post-COVID era, the center has expanded its online outreach, providing wider access to its events and resources to a broader audience.
