Description
The Frederick Douglass Unity House is a vibrant multi-lingual, multi-ethnic, multicultural and inclusive intercultural Center at UMass Dartmouth. It is a destination for many students, faculty, and staff. The Center supports, empowers, and challenges students to engage fully in, and get the most of their UMass Dartmouth experience. Our mission is to transform and enhance the experience, leadership capacity, skills, and employability of every student through programming, individual support, and initiatives while enriching the broader UMassD community. We take great pride in the fact that we provide a supportive environment for the academic, cultural, recreational, and social pursuits of UMassD’s ALANA students - African/Black, Latino/a/Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander, and Native American/Indigenous – and maintain an inclusive community open to all members of our community.

Personal Message
Thank you for supporting the Frederick Douglass Unity House.
Why are donations necessary?
Sustaining the Frederick Douglass Unity House and enabling the work to continue throughout the five decades of its existence has been rewarding and challenging. Since its creation, the Multicultural population has grown from 5 to almost 40% of the UMassD student body. The Unity House plays a central role in facilitating the success of our students and ensuring a supportive campus climate. We are looking forward, with your support, to expanding our services and programming to meet the needs of our students. They say that if you want a better world, you must secure the success of our youths. Your support is central to the work of the Frederick Douglass Unity House and the success of our students.
